Quick-release couplings are designed for quickly connecting and disconnecting pneumatic tools and other equipment to a compressor or compressed air line.
The coupling consists of two elements:
a female quick-release coupling with a locking mechanism and a check valve, and a shut-off element (a nipple, adapter, or male coupling).
The coupling is installed on the compressed air supply side.
When disconnecting the adapter, the air line is shut off, and when connecting, it opens. This allows you to connect and disconnect a portable pneumatic tool or other device without blocking the air flow in the line.
